Cypresses
In honour of his mother, he paints the cypresses of Alman, his mother birthplace. Sammoun reminisces all the time spent outside with his family, where the cypresses and the Mediterranean Sea would be an integral part of the scenery. In Sammoun's eyes, cypress trees symbolize respect. They are always very dark green, which makes them stand out as guardian of the mountain and the Mediterranean Sea.
